Amazing food and great value. Naans are some of the best I've had anywhere and the curries have bags of flavour, good heat to the Vindaloo as well. Staff very friendly and clearly passionate about good service.
Amazing staff and excellent food. I’ve lived locally for years and only started going here recently. Oh, have I missed out big time. The food is really excellent and it’s easily the best in town. This is my new go to restaurant and takeaway.

Our third visit in three weeks. Without doubt the best Bangladeshi food we have ever tasted. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, the service is excellent and the food served is to perfection. It's obvious that the owner and his staff are very passionate about their restaurant, first established in 1979. It's a hidden gem for sure and is now our only go to restaurant for Indian food. Take away service is also available and we can't recommend Gulab highly enough, the best in Chesterfield!
What a great find. We were stopping at the Premier Inn and were looking for a good restaurant, well we found one of the best Bangladeshi restaurant I have been to in years. Service was fantastic we were looked after by Sunni who served us a fantastic fish Tikka followed by two wonderful main courses of Lamb Tandoori, Chicken Jalfrasi served with Pilau Rice and a wonderful Naan bread. This restaurant is not to be missed if you are in the area.
My wife and I are new to the area and we took the recommendation of a close friend to order from Gulab and I'm so glad we did! We ordered from the website, my wife and mother in law picked up the order and the food was brilliant! Genuinely. And the portion sides were very generous, could have fed six people. The meat was so tender, both the lamb and the beef. The aloo's were properly cooked and soft, honestly, very very happy we found this place We hope to dine in at one point but will order in whenever we have that takeaway urge from now on
Dad's first business in Chesterfield moving from Lewisham in London. The restaurant name was called Curry Mahal in 1982 Dad passed away in 1992 Now it's called: Gulab Tandoori in 1994
Gulab is the absolute best We have visited quite a few times now, and the quality is spot on every time. Gorgeous fresh food, piping hot and served with care. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Great selection of drinks at the bar. Always a warm welcome, and the restaurant is super clean.
